Player development
Once our players have reached the junior club program, some of these kids will focus even more on their tennis development.
This will involve playing tournaments around the Perth and metropolitan area and an even smaller % of kids, travelling interstate and overseas to play the highest level of junior tournaments.
What is our background in player development ?
Once players have reached junior club level we are experienced and well versed to take them from UTR 1.0 through to UTR 10.
Super 10’s
We have produced multiple players to reach the Super 10’s program, an exclusive group of 16 of the best boys and girls in Western Australia. To reach this level players would need minimum of 3 years tennis development sparking firstly their passion, followed by their technical skills and then game play nous.
UTR, State and National Tournaments
As part of the competitive play calendar, there are tournaments held all across Western Australia (mostly Perth) and also throughout all the other states. These can range from more entry level tournaments but go to events with stricter entry requirements with the pinnacle being junior national events. We also run our own style of UTR tournament where players are guaranteed 3 matches in 3 hours. Over the journey we have also produced several players to compete at State and National junior level including a juniors doubles winner 14s boys and junior doubles runners up in 16s girls.
College Tennis
A few of our players have ended up at a level which enables them to play in the US College Tennis system, normally with a full or near full scholarship. This is a great opportunity to continue to develop their tennis game but also continue to focus on education.
We do not believe in rushing the process of player development and putting unneccessary pressure on the young players as this is counterproductive and increases the likelihood of a) injury or b) burnout.
