St Mary’s Anglican Girls School Tennis Program

Give your girls the gift of knowing how to play tennis!

Scarborough Tennis Academy began at St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School in 2015, and now run a weekly session for girls as young as kindy age through to senior school.

PRIMARY

You can start your children in tennis lessons from kindy. Working on the tennis skills and also hand-eye coordination activities give them a good foundation. The girls will enjoy the benefits of using the Hot Shots Tennis equipment which makes learning tennis fun and achievable. Doing tennis with friends is even better and gives the girls a chance to share experiences and learn together.

SECONDARY

We work with Senior PE staff to help train all of the St Mary’s tennis players involved in the IGGSA competition in Term 1. There are 4 divisions for each of the year 7/8, Junior and Senior competitions. We assist in team selection and offer squad training for those who are accepted into the team and also for girls wanting to learn the basics of tennis. For the senior girls, the focus becomes tactics, technique and movement. Our Accelerator program helps players improve to give them the option of school tennis teams or learn a new skill before school to play with their friends.

Sport type shoes and a hat
Racquet (if they have one) or you can purchase one for $40.00 (email us to order)
